1. Service Description

AusOverwatch ("the Service") is a free, publicly accessible geospatial intelligence platform built and operated by KangaBlue (kangablue.au). It aggregates real-time data from multiple third-party sources and displays it on an interactive map of Australia. The Service is operated for informational and educational purposes only.

2. No Guarantee of Accuracy

All data displayed on AusOverwatch is sourced from third-party providers including but not limited to USGS, NASA FIRMS, Bureau of Meteorology, ARPANSA, AISStream, airplanes.live, CelesTrak, WAQI, Transport for NSW, Transport Victoria, OpenElectricity, WeatherAPI.com, and Windy. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any data displayed.

AusOverwatch is not an emergency service. Do not rely on this platform for emergency decision-making. Always refer to official sources such as the Bureau of Meteorology, your state emergency service, or Triple Zero (000) in an emergency.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use the Service for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

Attempt to access, scrape, or overload the underlying APIs beyond normal browsing
Use the Service to track or monitor individuals
Redistribute data obtained from the Service without attribution to the original data sources
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

4. AI-Generated Content

The "Brief Me" feature uses OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini to generate situational summaries. These AI-generated briefings are provided for convenience only and may contain inaccuracies. Always verify critical information with official sources.

5. Third-Party Services

AusOverwatch integrates with third-party mapping services including Google Maps (3D Tiles) and CartoDB. Your use of these services through AusOverwatch is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

7. Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Data sources may become temporarily unavailable, and the Service may be taken offline for maintenance without prior notice.

8. Intellectual Property

The AusOverwatch platform, including its design, code, and user interface, is the property of KangaBlue. Data displayed on the platform belongs to the respective third-party data providers and is used under their terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
